Dear "star27",
I am contacting you because we both have work in Art:Raw Gallery’s Inaugural Exhibition. It is a pleasure to be exhibiting beside your work. I am taking a survey about the level of artists’ satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the show. I’d really love for you to be involved in my project.
I write a bog about the life of an emerging artist (myself) that also gives relevant information to other artists about exhibiting their work. I would like to direct you to my blog, wherein I explain some basic “understandings” between artists and galleries, using Art:Raw as an example of what not to do. In my blog, I also tell the story of my experience with the gallery (here).
If you have time, please review the blog entry. I would love to hear your thoughts pertaining to your personal experience with Art:Raw. A quick paragraph will do (or as many words as you need to accurately describe your experience). I will then compile our stories into one blog that can be accessed by anyone interested in learning more about our gallery experiences with Art:Raw Gallery. My personal experience was quite negative, and in my blog I explain why. However, the purpose of the project is not to harass Art:Raw; I am also certainly open to hearing about your positive experiences with the gallery personnel, opening night, or anything else relevant to the Inaugural Exhibition.
I would absolutely appreciate your participation in my project. It will only take a few minutes. There is no reward for participating in my surveying project, but your words will help direct a broad audience of other emerging artists in the right direction, as well as educate them by providing true stories of your exhibition experience. You may also choose to participate and remain anonymous.
